What is the ivImage?

The iv image is an image in which some messages are hidden, such as the title, the names of people, locations, time, copyright, explanations or simply drawing etc.. The iv image uses popular formats (currently support PNG, BMP, RGB and TIFF formats). It is convenient to keep the notes and the image in one file and to display the notes at exact positions on the image. When the image is copied , transferred, or saved, the notes are never lost.


How about the size of the iv-image?

The iv image almost keep same size as the normal image, that is, the messages do not take any extra space.


How  to categorize the technology  of  iv-image?

It is a sort of  steganography.


Is there any other software that can read the iv images?

The iv image uses the standard format. Most image viewer or editor or thumbnail program can read it. But these programs cannot read the notes that melted into the image. Please use the ivReader to display the image and its notes.


The EXIF format can hold some messages, too. What is the
difference for the iv-image?

In many situations, for examples, a historic photo on which many people are, the viewers hope to know who's who. The iv image is convenient to indicate who's who on the image and the notes do not have any influence for the images. Also it can be used on some other special images, such as indicating the places in detail on the landscape images taken from airplanes, and indicating the name of star on astronomic images, and so on.


What is the meaning of "iv"?

iv is just a name of this technology and means "Information Viewer"or "I view". The iv images use the common formats, such as, Tiff, BMP or PNG. The "iv" makes the difference of the images with or without messages.
